Dark Desires After Dusk (Immortals After Dark #6) - Kresley Cole

Dark Desires After Dusk (Immortals After Dark, #6)Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Still loving this series! I've wanted to read Cade's story ever since we met him because he sounded delicious, and I can assure you his story did not disappoint.

I loved the banter and playfulness between the hero and heroine. Holly was a great heroine. She's nerdy and has an intense case of OCD. Cade taught her everything she needed to know, about herself, how to live life without boundaries and limitations, about her sexuality, how to protect herself, and how to trust her instincts and trust in her abilities. That's what made this book so incredibly romantic. Not only was it sexy, passionate, playful, but Cade and Holly had a deep emotional connection between them.

Now Case was deliciously sexy from when we first met him, but it was Holly who brought out everything in him that made him even more desirable. He is passionate, playful, funny, tender, protective, possessive, I could come up with many more adjectives to describe why I adore him so much. I loved that our hero was a demon, a species who hasn't had their own book yet. I want to stoke his horns!

I loved reading the action scenes because Holly can totally kick some ass. She's a total badass. You wouldn't think how powerful she'd turn out to be when you first meet her and realise that she's a straight-laced, conservative, maths geek who doesn't cuss, doesn't have sex (or even watch porn), who has to have everything in perfect order, and doesn't live a little.

There was one thing that bothered me and that was how could Cade even contemplate to do what he had to do, especially after claiming Holly. It didn't just really make sense since she's his female. However, it made for good drama which I guess was the point so it served its purpose.

This was a very fast paced, sexy, romance, witty, and tender love story between a sexy as sin hero and a heroine that I can relate to on an intellectual level.

I'm definitely looking forward to reading Rydstrom. There was a bit of mystery about his situation and the change him in this book so my interest and curiously has piqued.
